　　Like most entrepreneurs of his generation, in the early stages of his entrepreneurial journey, Ni Yongxing devoted more diligence and struggle than ordinary people. Today, what makes him most proud is that Hangzhou Zhongtai Industrial Co., Ltd. has developed from a town-run collective enterprise on the verge of bankruptcy into one of the top 100 enterprises in Xiaoshan District, from a company with fewer than 100 employees to a large enterprise with more than 2,000 employees today, and from a small factory with annual sales of less than 10 million yuan to a major taxpayer in Xiaoshan District, achieving sales revenue of 450 million yuan and tax profits of 60 million yuan in 2008... These changes were not achieved overnight, but are the result of the arduous entrepreneurial efforts of all Zhongtai people over more than 10 years.

 

　　However, starting a business is difficult, but maintaining it is even more difficult. Since 2007, almost all export enterprises have encountered wave after wave of "cold waves," such as adjustments to export tax rebate policies, RMB appreciation, and rising prices, all of which have brought enormous pressure to the company. Faced with this pressure, Ni Yongxing remained calm and composed. In his words, this is called "panning for gold." To produce this gold, he actively responded to the market economic fluctuations, planning strategies, steering the ship, and setting the sails. With his extraordinary courage and market control ability, in 2007, the company invested 10 million yuan to introduce three aluminum chassis production lines, thus realizing the transformation from producing iron chassis to aluminum chassis, improving product stability, enhancing aesthetics, and increasing the chassis Price from the original 30 yuan to 100 yuan. At Zhongtai, product transformation is not an empty phrase. In a few years, products such as electrical accessories and seat chassis have been developed and exported to more than 30 countries and regions, becoming one of the largest seat chassis manufacturers in Asia. Three products have passed the provincial new product appraisal, and the company has been named a small and medium-sized science and technology enterprise by the Provincial Science and Technology Bureau.

 

 

 

 

　　The development and growth of the enterprise has created abundant economic benefits. At the same time, a strong sense of social responsibility weighed heavily on Ni Yongxing's mind. He believes that enterprises cannot only focus on making money; the money earned by enterprises originally comes from society, and at the appropriate time, enterprises should return to society. This is the responsibility of an enterprise, and even more so the responsibility of an enterprise representative of the people's congress. Upholding this firm belief, the following initiatives were undertaken:

 

　　In the district government's poverty alleviation activities, 200,000 yuan was donated to support Hexi Village, an underdeveloped village in the town;

　　In the district government's "1,000 enterprises supporting 100 villages, jointly building new rural areas" activity, 120,000 yuan was donated;

　　At the establishment of the Yiqiao Branch of the Xiaoshan District Charity Federation, Zhongtai sponsored a 5 million yuan charity fund, donating 300,000 yuan annually;

　　In June 2008, 128,000 yuan was donated to celebrate the centennial anniversary of Yiqiao Experimental School;

　　More than 100 copies of "Xiaoshan Daily" are subscribed annually and given to retired teachers in the town;

　　The Yiqiao Town "Zhongtai Cup" Migrant Workers' Singing Competition has been held for two consecutive years, with an investment of around 100,000 yuan;

　　Behind this series of numbers is the sincerity of Zhongtai people in repaying society and their determination to be united with the people, as well as Ni Yongxing's love and kindness for society. As a people's representative, he treats the difficulties of the people around him as his own. Usually, as long as someone asks him for help, he always readily agrees and never lets those seeking help leave disappointed. During holidays, he is busy visiting families in need. To this day, there are more than ten "registered employees" in the company, who are a group of disabled people. For many years, they have become a special group who "do not need to work but can receive their salaries on time."

At Zhongtai Industrial, Ni Yongxing is the general manager, but to the employees, he is more like an elder who cares for and looks after them. When the economic situation was sluggish and the society was filled with the sound of "layoffs," Ni Yongxing's firm statement of "no layoffs, no salary cuts" gave all employees peace of mind. To ensure that employees eat well, he actively improved employee meals and only symbolically charged one yuan as a meal fee; to enrich employees' spare time, he organized various cultural and sports activities to build team spirit; to adjust employees' psychology, he organizes employee outings every year, allowing employees to feel the warmth of home in the company. Today, whether in the countryside or in and out of the company, when people talk about General Manager Ni, they will give a thumbs-up and sincerely praise him.

 

 

 

 

 

　　Since 2007, Ni Yongxing has been elected as a representative of the 14th District People's Congress, and since then, the four words "people's representative" have been deeply imprinted on his heart.

 

　　A people's representative, as the name suggests, is a representative of the people, representing the people to reflect problems and acting as a spokesperson for the people. In the year he was elected, Ni Yongxing proposed "accelerating the construction of the sewage pipe network in the southern area" as a proposal. This proposal is a major issue concerning the lives of the people in the southern area, ecological environmental protection, and economic development. Indeed, with economic development, the continuous improvement of people's living standards, and the rapid rise of the tertiary industry, various types of sewage have inevitably been produced. However, the southern area has not yet built a complete drainage system, and a large amount of sewage mainly relies on ditches and underground drains for discharge or is directly discharged into ponds and rivers, seriously affecting people's lives. As soon as this proposal was put forward, it was immediately listed as one of the top ten practical matters by the district government and included in the supervision list. However, a year later, due to various reasons such as engineering costs, the project was repeatedly reviewed and delayed. At this point, Ni Yongxing could no longer sit idly by. A people's representative is a spokesperson for the people, and he cannot just talk without doing anything! Therefore, he contacted various parties, understood the situation, and repeatedly urged the district government to accelerate the construction of the sewage pipe network in the southern area in the name of a people's representative. Finally, hard work paid off. Two years later, after scientific and careful planning, the project finally officially started construction. It is expected that by 2012, the sewage pipe network project in the southern area will be completed. At that time, the southern area and even the entire district will form a sewage collection pattern of one town, one main pipe, and one pumping station, realizing the linked collection and centralized treatment of sewage, enabling the district's emission reduction work to reach a new level.

A bill has finally made some headway, but the footsteps of the people's congress representative have never stopped. "Proposal on the Effective Handling of Industrial Solid Waste", "Proposal on the Restoration and Remediation of Closed Mines", "Proposal on Accelerating the Construction Progress of Yiqiao Second Bridge"... Over the years, Ni Yongxing has spearheaded and participated in the submission of more than 20 proposals and suggestions, most of which have attracted the attention of the district government and relevant departments, and some have already been or are being addressed. The proposals and suggestions are not merely based on Ni Yongxing's personal insights, but also come from his visits to villages and households, chatting with people, and talking with people on the front lines of enterprises. Through repeated visits and conversations, he continuously understands the thoughts and demands of the people, collecting and organizing their opinions and suggestions. In these conversations, he has become closer to the people. In his words, he has returned to the people.
